Raj Travels offers its
Planning a Jaipur fort tour by private car? Our one-day plan covers Amer Fort, Jaigarh Fort and Nahargarh Fort in an AC car with a driver, with a Jal Mahal photo stop and a sunset finish over the Pink City.
The three hill forts of Jaipur sit on different ridges, and each one has its own opening hours, crowds and best light. That makes the order of visits matter more than the number of stops. A good Jaipur fort tour reaches Amer early, goes up to Jaigarh while it is still cool and keeps Nahargarh for the evening view. We plan the day around that rhythm, and you get the route and timings in writing before you travel.
Choose a classic one-day plan, a half-day Amer and Jaigarh plan or a 2 days and 1 night plan. Every fort tour by private car includes a professional driver, fuel, air conditioning, and pick-up and drop from your Jaipur hotel, the airport or the railway station. Entry tickets, guides, meals and jeep rides are not part of the car hire, and we are happy to help you plan them.
We do not publish fixed brochure rates, because the cost changes with the car, the kilometres and the hours you keep it. We quote on a per-km basis and send it in writing, so you know the figure before you confirm.
Your Jaipur fort tour by private car booking takes a few minutes. Share your date, group size and preferred plan below, and our team will send you a written quote within the same business day.

Every tour is built around a private car and a driver who knows the fort roads, the parking areas and the best times to arrive. You get the route and timings before you leave, a fixed pick-up and drop in Jaipur, and the freedom to stay longer at a fort you like. Tickets, guides and meals are booked separately, which keeps the day flexible and lets you spend only on what you need.
Best for travellers who want all three forts in one well-paced day:
A shorter plan for travellers with a flight or a busy afternoon:
The slow plan for families and photographers who prefer shorter walks each day:
Included in the car hire: the car, a professional driver, fuel, air conditioning, and pick-up and drop in Jaipur. Extra: entry tickets, guides, meals, jeep rides, camera fees and tips. Amer Fort tickets for Indian visitors were ₹200 per person from January 2026, and other monuments have their own rates, so we confirm the current fees when you book. Your written quote states how parking and driver charges are handled, so there are no surprises later.
A Swift Dzire or Etios suits 2 to 3 guests on a one-day plan. For a family of 4 to 6 with bags, an Ertiga, Kia Carens or Innova Crysta is more comfortable on the hill roads. Groups of 9 to 17 can take a Tempo Traveller or Force Urbania, and larger groups can look at our Volvo and MG Glider coaches. Our drivers know the route but are not licensed guides, so if you want the history explained, ask us to arrange an approved guide at the fort gate.
November to February is the most comfortable season for walking the forts. April to June is very hot, so start early and keep Nahargarh for the evening. Amer gets crowded after mid-morning, so reaching it by 8:30 AM makes a real difference. Jaigarh closes earlier in the evening than Nahargarh, which is why we visit it before lunch. Wear flat shoes, carry water and a cap, and expect ramps and steps at every fort. Book 3 to 5 days ahead from November to February, and 1 to 2 days ahead in other months.

Q1: What is a Jaipur fort tour by private car?
Answer: It is a self-paced sightseeing day in a chauffeur-driven AC car that covers the main hill forts of Jaipur, usually Amer Fort, Jaigarh Fort and Nahargarh Fort. The car and driver stay with your group all day, so you choose how long to stay at each stop.
Q2: Which forts are covered in a Jaipur fort tour?
Answer: The classic plan covers Amer Fort, Jaigarh Fort and Nahargarh Fort, with a short photo stop at Jal Mahal on the way. A longer plan adds Gaitor Ki Chhatriyan, City Palace and Hawa Mahal.
Q3: How much does a Jaipur fort tour by private car cost?
Answer: The cost depends on the car, the total distance and the hours you keep it. Our approximate car rates are ₹10–12 per km for a sedan, ₹18–20 per km for an Ertiga or Innova Crysta and ₹25–28 per km for a Tempo Traveller. Entry tickets, guides and meals are extra, and we send a written quote with no hidden charges.
Q4: How many hours do you need to see Amer, Jaigarh and Nahargarh forts?
Answer: Plan for 8 to 10 hours for all three forts. Amer Fort needs about 2 hours, Jaigarh Fort about 1 to 1.5 hours and Nahargarh Fort about 1.5 to 2 hours, plus drives, lunch and the sunset wait. If you are short on time, Amer and Jaigarh fit into half a day.
Q5: What is included in a Jaipur fort tour by private car?
Answer: The package covers the car, a professional driver, fuel, air conditioning, and pick-up and drop at your Jaipur hotel, the airport or the railway station. Entry tickets, guides, meals, jeep rides and tips are not included. Your written quote also states how parking and driver charges are handled.
Q6: What is the best order to visit the Jaipur forts?
Answer: Start with Amer Fort in the morning, when it is cooler and less crowded, then go up to Jaigarh Fort, which sits above it. Keep Nahargarh Fort for the late afternoon so you can watch the sunset over the city.
Q7: What is the best time for a Jaipur fort tour?
Answer: November to February is the most comfortable season for walking the forts. April to June is very hot, so start by 8:00 AM and keep Nahargarh for the evening. Weekends and holidays are busier, so an early start helps in every season.
Q8: Is the Jaipur fort tour suitable for family and senior citizens?
Answer: Yes, with planning. The car takes you close to each fort, but all three involve ramps, steps and uneven stone. Tell us the ages in your group and we plan shorter walks, longer breaks and, if needed, a jeep ride at Amer Fort.
Q9: Do I need a guide for the Jaipur fort tour?
Answer: A guide is optional. Our driver knows the route, parking and best timings, but he is not a licensed guide. If you want the history explained, approved guides are available at the fort entrances and we can arrange one in advance on request.
Q10: Can I plan the Jaipur fort tour for 2 days?
Answer: Yes. A 2 days, 1 night plan keeps the forts relaxed on day one and adds Nahargarh, Gaitor Ki Chhatriyan, City Palace and Hawa Mahal on day two. You can also change the start time, pick a different car or add more Jaipur stops.
Q11: How do I book a Jaipur fort tour by private car?
Answer: Call, send a WhatsApp message or fill in the contact form on this page with your pick-up point, travel date, number of guests and preferred plan. You receive a written quote and car confirmation on the same business day.
